House Wines

These are wines selected by ourselves and bottled by Monte Porzio Catone at their cellars in Lazio. They are fresh, modern wines and represent exceptional value for money.

Campania

Mastroberardino
Mastroberardino is one of the oldest winemaking firms in Italy, producing classic wines from Campania since the 1700’s. The historic cellars in Atripalda, still in use today, date back to the early 1800’s, where precious artistic masterpieces are shown. Their main mission is the protection of traditional wine values of the area.

Citra

The Citra family of stylishly created Italian wines, widely admired for its enduring high quality and exceptional value represents a reliable source of versatile, food-friendly wines. Citra is the single most important producer in Italy’s picturesque coastal Abruzzi region.

Lazio

Cantine Volpetti
The Cantine Volpetti winemakers are situated in the heart of the Colli Albani vineyards, which lie on the gentle slopes of the volcanic hills in the south of Rome. Wine production in this area dates back to the Roman Empire, the Volpetti family have been making their own wines since 1958. Today, their products represent a blend of vineyards and territory which characterise an image of elegance and prestige, a mixture of tradition and innovation in the art of wine making.

Ca’ Montebello
Ca’ Montebello is one of the best equipped farms in the area. In the 1970’s the owner of the estate, Luigi Scarani, combined the knowledge and experience of his father with the latest grape-growing and wine producing techniques.

Guasti Clemente e Figli
Clemente Guasti founded the company in 1946, continuing his family’s historic wine-making traditions. At present the company has four large estates, of which 29 hectares in the most favourable positions are given over to vineyards. After the death of Clemente Guasti, his sons have followed his winning philosophy, never compromising on quality, and they continue to achieve important accolades nationally and internationally. Barolo is Piedmont’s most famous wine.

Feudo d'Elimi
Named after an ancient population known as “Elimi”, who migrated from Greece to Sicily in the 7th century BC and lived in the extreme west of Sicily for nearly 400 years. They settled in a small area in the province of Trapani, between Marsala and the Valle del Belice, where it is believed they began the winemaking tradition of today, having brought with them cuttings of grapevines from their homeland.

Trentino

Concilio
Concilio is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Trentino, in the north of Italy. Founded in 1860 by Angelo Grigolli, Concilio, whose motto is “Quality, Style, Personality”. Over the years the company has grown in size, joining with other local families. Now, Concilio uses modern winemaking technology whilst maintaining traditional values.

Venegazzu
The farm in Venegazzu is where the Company was founded, in a sunny valley of the Montello’s hills. This area has a historical vocation to the production of extremely fine wines. It is due to the very rich soil, and the choice of vine varieties on the farm that over time have become true symbols of the high quality wine production of the province.
