Aperol was developed in 1919 by the Barbieri brothers, from Padua, Italy. As specialists in liqueur production since 1880, Aperol was launched with the revolutionary idea of creating the lightest of liqueurs and an aperitif with an alcohol content of only 11%. Aperol Spritz: Fill a large wine glass with ice. Add 75ml Prosecco, then 50ml Aperol and a dash of soda water. Garnish with an orange slice.
